Charlotte Hogg: “I take full responsibility for this oversight”

Charlotte Hogg, the Bank of England’s (BoE) new deputy governor for markets and banking, has admitted breaching the central bank’s internal code of conduct after failing to disclose her brother worked at Barclays. In a letter sent to the chairman of the UK Treasury Committee, Hogg said she should have declared her brother’s role as director for group strategy at Barclays when she joined in 2013.
